Delete your account
This page explains how to permanently delete your TokTuawThai account and all of your personal data. You can do it yourself in the app, or ask us to delete it for you — no login and no installed app required.
Option 1: Delete in the app
If you still have the app installed and can sign in, this is the quickest way:
- Open the app and go to Settings.
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm in the dialog that appears — you are asked to confirm once more because deletion is permanent.
As soon as you confirm, your account is deactivated immediately and disappears for everyone.
Option 2: Delete without the app
You do not need the app to delete your account. Use our self-service deletion page — it works in any web browser, without logging in:
- Open the account deletion page.
- Enter the email address or phone number registered on your account. We send a 6-digit confirmation code to it, which proves the account is yours.
- Enter the code to confirm the deletion.
Prefer to write to us? Contact us with the contact form from the address registered on your account, or tell us the email address or phone number you signed up with so we can identify your account. We may ask for one more detail to make sure the request really comes from you before we delete anything.
Signed in with Facebook, Google, LINE or Apple?
Removing the TokTuawThai app connection in your Facebook, Google, LINE or Apple settings only disconnects the sign-in link — it does not delete your TokTuawThai account or your data. To actually delete your account, use Option 1 or Option 2 above.
What gets deleted
When the deletion is complete, we permanently erase your personal data, including:
- your profile and account details;
- your photos and videos (public and private galleries);
- your messages and conversations;
- your location data;
- your matches, likes, follows and other connections.
What we have to keep — and for how long
By law we must keep a small amount of data for a limited time, even after your account is deleted. We keep only what is legally required, and only for as long as the law demands:
- Payment and invoice records — kept to meet accounting and tax obligations, for the statutory retention period (in most jurisdictions several years).
- Records relating to abuse or safety reports — kept where necessary to comply with legal obligations and to protect our community, for as long as that purpose requires.
This matches our Privacy Policy, which sets out our retention periods in full.
Timeframe
- Immediately: your account is deactivated and is no longer visible to anyone.
- After 14 days: if you do not change your mind, your profile, photos, videos, messages and all other personal data are permanently erased. During this waiting period our support team can still restore your account on request.
- Backups: residual copies in our encrypted backups are overwritten in the regular backup rotation, at the latest 30 days after erasure.
This cannot be undone
Once the 14-day waiting period has passed and your data has been erased, deletion is final and cannot be reversed. You will not be able to recover your profile, photos, messages or any other content. If you want to use TokTuawThai again afterwards, you will need to create a new account.
